Some of us just wanted to create a website that was fast and easy to use where people could place personal ads and respond to them without having to pay the monthly fees that almost all of the larger sites have gone to doing. Because of staff cutbacks, some of the large commercial sites take several days or more to approve the personal ads before they are posted. We thought we could offer people in the Houston area better service, by focusing just on the Houston area. Others thought it would be a nice departure to have a website without user IDs, passwords and solicitations to join something or a membership. We will be experimenting with an option for high speed and large bandwidth users where they can choose to view the personals in a thumbnail view in each category. |
